Where We're From

We’re Bronti and Danam, from the east coast of Tasmania's towns of Bicheno and St Marys.

Doug & Harvey grew from a simple belief that the way we live, the things we make, and the kind of fun we have are worth sharing. Our traditions, pace, and sense of place are stitched into everything we create.

The pieces we build

We make home essentials, worn things, and small pieces.

Guided by the materials around us, the skills we’ve built, and the pace of life. Everything we create is shaped by place, built to be useful, and made to feel right in the hand and in the home.

So far, that’s meant candles and sprays, bags and garments, chopping boards, desks, and coffee tables. We’re always designing, testing, and refining. following what feels honest, necessary, and worth keeping.

Why We Do It

Our mission is to carry forward the good things that shaped our way of life; work, place, and the pride of building something of your own. We’re here to build on that past and help shape what’s next.

What we call Industry 5.

It’s a quieter kind of industry, based on tradition but built with innovation. were not alone, in metal, spirit, and sea.

How We Work

Every Doug & Harvey piece labelled on-island is built by hand, using our own tools and the skills we’ve developed over time. We put as much care into the design as the construction because how something feels matters just as much as how it works.

We want Doug & Harvey to be accessible. If we’ve tested, refined, and proven a design by hand and we believe it can be made more affordable by working with other makers, we will.

We draw inspiration from the industries that shaped this region; farming, fishing, mining, and tourism. We reinterpret those legacies through the things we make, and the stories we tell.
